Federal Funds Sold

"Federal Funds Sold" is a financial metric that measures the amount of money a financial institution has deposited at the Federal Reserve above and beyond the required reserve. In other words, it is the excess reserves of a bank that can be offered to another bank in the federal funds market as an overnight loan. Essentially, it represents the money a bank is willing to lend out overnight to other banks in need of short-term financing, and earns interest income as a result.
